LIM Students Produce Fashion Week Insert for The Daily Front Row
February 22, 2017
The Daily Front Row’s semi-annual Fashion Week issue features a special insert on sustainability in fashion—entirely produced by a team of talented LIM College students.
Under the supervision of The Daily Front Row’s editorial team, the students began work on this project in the fall of 2016. This is the third year in a row LIM students have produced a “mini-magazine within the magazine” for The Daily Front Row. Once again, their work will reach a broad range of key influencers, including designers, editors, bloggers, and buyers.
The students were responsible for all aspects of their publication—from research and writing to photography and art direction. They worked directly with The Daily Front Row staff and received invaluable guidance and input as they learned firsthand about the vast amount of hard work required to produce a magazine.
In addition to gaining writing, editing, marketing, and layout experience, the students also honed their abilities to become reliable journalists who meet deadlines and follow through on all expectations—skills that go well beyond the world of journalism.
Copies of the The Daily Front Row are now available in the LIM College Writing Center. Following is a list of those who participated and their roles:
Maranda Janky: Editor-in-Chief
Tonya Burks: Managing Editor
Seth Jubb: Executive Editor
Ashleigh Uzoaru: Fashion Editor
Nicol Maciejewska: News Editor
Pheanny Phen: Art Director
John Deming: Faculty Advisor
