LIM Welcomes Online Students for Destination: Fashion NYC
June 19, 2018
LIM College recently hosted a group of students enrolled in its online degree programs for Destination: Fashion NYC.
The weeklong, immersive experience in New York City gave distance learners a chance to network in person within the LIM community and meet with their online advisors, while experiencing the New York City fashion business firsthand.
A citywide “Retail Safari” included stops at Nordstrom's newly opened Men’s store, Bergdorf Goodman, Louis Vuitton and Nike SoHo. Also on the itinerary were tours of top fashion brand headquarters like Tommy Hilfiger, Tretorn and Juicy Couture, as well as lunches and meetings with industry professionals and LIM College faculty and alumni.
Students were also treated to key elements of the NYC experience, such as visiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art, as well as attending a performance of the Broadway musical Kinky Boots.
