Karissa Mitchell is a journalist, creative director, and stylist pursuing an MPS in Fashion Marketing at LIM College. During this February’s New York Fashion Week, Galore Magazine premiered a video for which Karissa served as the stylist, art director, and producer.
The fashion film, Début, features Mallory Merk, a 16-year-old musician, model, and high school student.
“Since I moved to New York in June of 2016 I have met so many people that live double lives. I wanted to showcase Mallory and her girl gang running through the halls of their school, going for pizza, and out on the town,” says Karissa.
The stylized short video features clothing by Vivienne Westwood, Kenzo, Philipp Plein, and Opening Ceremony.
Karissa, who has interned for CR Fashion Book as well as various celebrity stylists, such as Danasia Sutton and Krisiana Sotelo, has also styled Bella Hadid, Cardi B, Keke Palmer, and Nyadak "Duckie" Thot, as well as assisted on shoots for Rihanna, Paris Jackson, and Priyanka Chopra.
