Saks Fifth Avenue Hosts Launch Party for the MPS in Visual Merchandising

On October 27, Saks Fifth Avenue was the site of a reception to celebrate the launch of LIM College’s Masters of Professional Studies program in Visual Merchandising, the nation’s first master’s degree of its kind.

LIM College graduate student Elgie Johnson designed the invitation to the event and a framed version of it was presented to Harry Cunningham, Saks' Senior Vice President for Store Planning & Design.

During the evening, the conversation centered on how this new program fills the need for advanced, specialized education specifically for upper-management and executives in visual merchandising. Said Jacqueline Jenkins, Director of Graduate Studies, “The event was a wonderful recognition of the tremendous impact that we can have on our students by partnering with industry leaders such as Saks.”
