Students Travel to Italy for New Study Abroad Program

Eight LIM College students spent three weeks in Italy this June at the Florence University of the Arts (FUA) exploring Italian art, history, food, and traditions through LIM’s new study abroad program “Rebirth and Revolution: The Arts in Florence.”

The students took a Renaissance Art History class taught by faculty escort Laurel Lueders, Chair of LIM College’s Visual Merchandising Department, in addition to their choice of an FUA elective: Food, Culture, and Society in Italy; An Italian Journal; or Italian Language 1.

They also participated in excursions and cultural classes including an Italian cooking lesson, museum visits, a fresco workshop, and a hike to the beautiful Piazzale Michelangelo.
