Visual Merchandising Class Goes "Back Through the Decades"

On November 3, students in Professor Grailing King’s Visual Merchandising: History, Theory and Practice class took LIM students, faculty, staff, families and industry professionals on a trip back through time.

The class unveiled “Back Through the Decades,” a new visual installation at Maxwell Hall. Working in small groups, the 17 Visual Merchandising majors created a series of visual vignettes representing the 1900’s through 1980’s.

“The students’ work reflects not only what was happening in fashion during each decade, but also incorporates what was taking place culturally and politically,” says Professor King.
