LIM Ranked Among World’s Best for Fashion Business Education
October 31, 2017
LIM College has been ranked as one of the top institutions in the world for graduate education in the business of fashion.
As part of The Business of Fashion’s (BoF) 2017 Global Fashion School Rankings, which is the only objective assessment of fashion schools around the world, LIM College placed in the Top 10 for fashion business master’s degree programs.
The BoF's Graduate Business Ranking reflects three major indicators of quality: global influence, learning experience, and long-term value. Assessments are based on over 40 different data points gathered from participating institutions, surveys completed by students and alumni, feedback from human resources professionals and academics, and The BoF’s own analysis. 2017 marks the first year the rankings included a category for graduate business degrees.
Says LIM College President Elizabeth S. Marcuse, "LIM's presence in The Business of Fashion’s first list of top global institutions for graduate degrees in fashion business reflects the quality and dedication of our students, faculty, staff and alumni, and speaks to the unique value of an LIM College education."
Commentary accompanying the release of the BoF rankings states, "The fashion industry requires a broad range of skills and its business leaders must appreciate both creativity and commerce to be successful."
The advantage of studying in a world fashion center, such as New York City, is also emphasized. "Simply, being in a fashion capital boosts access to work experience opportunities and employment rates."
LIM College currently offers Master of Professional Studies (MPS) degree programs in Fashion Merchandising & Retail Management, Fashion Marketing, and Global Fashion Supply Chain Management.
