FASH 1210 – Retailing: Global and Omni 

The evolving retail/e-commerce and social shopping landscape is explored in this course. Students learn how retailers create a unique image and shopping experience, provide value in product offerings, and build a customer base to increase sales and earn a profit. 

FASH 2612 – Sustainability and the Future of Fashion 

Students gain foundational business knowledge of sustainability and its relationship to the broad scope of the fashion industry. The course topics include insight into the nature of climate change, the ways fashion brands can create and produce fashion product with less impact on the environment and a look into the global fashion supply chain in business today. 

FASH 2710 – Merchandising Concepts and Practices 

Students discover how the fashion industry brings product to market by learning the key concepts of merchandising and ultimately creating a target consumer analysis, a fashion trend forecast and a merchandise assortment/pricing plan for a selling season. 

FASH 3250 – Product Development and Merchandising 

Creativity and business truly meet in this course where students experience the process of developing merchandise from an initial idea to production. Fashion trend and consumer analysis and research play a big role as students conceptualize and present a new collection for a fashion brand.
