Intro Title
FOUND Study – Midtown East is brand-new and just a few blocks from LIM’s academic buildings.

Nothing beats living in New York City. And this fall, LIM students will have an amazing new housing option.

The College has partnered with FOUND Study, a provider of affordable student housing with incredible co-living amenities in major U.S. cities.

Starting in Fall 2022, LIM students can choose to live at FOUND Study's Midtown East building, at Lexington Ave. and East 51st St.

This brand-new student residence*, formerly a Doubletree hotel, is right next to several public transportation lines and approximately a 10-minute walk from both of LIM's academic buildings. Two floors will be set aside exclusively for nearly 200 LIM students.

These students will be among the very first to live at FOUND Study – Midtown East, allowing them to also be the first to take advantage of the building’s modern fitness center, rooftop lounge (coming in 2023), and other newly-constructed communal amenities. In all, the building boasts 11,000 square feet of community space. There will be round-the-clock front desk security, and the residence is right around the corner from Manhattan’s Midtown East police precinct.

Students can apply to live in double-occupancy rooms with private bathrooms. A limited number of single-occupancy and triple-occupancy rooms with private bathrooms will also be available. All rooms will have microwaves and refrigerators, with some rooms even having kitchenettes.  The new residence hall will also offer a shared kitchen and dining room, laundry facilities on each floor, study rooms, computer stations, a movie screening lounge, and bike storage.

Says Curtis W. Hoover, LIM College’s Vice President of Student Affairs, “We are very excited to partner with FOUND Study to offer a more convenient and affordable housing option for our students. The residence’s proximity to campus couldn’t be better and the quality of the accommodations is an outstanding value for midtown Manhattan.”

He continued, “When college students live on campus, it is easier for them to bond with their peers and those connections enhance the entire educational experience.”
