Policies, Procedures, and Resources for Preventing and Responding to Sexual Misconduct and Violence

In keeping with the mission and core values of the institution, as well as being in compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act (VAWA), and New York State Education Law Article 129-B (Enough is Enough), LIM College is committed to educating the entire campus community on preventing and responding to sexual assault and other forms of sexual misconduct and violence.

LIM College has taken steps to help prevent and respond to sexual discrimination, relationship violence, sexual assault, and other forms of sexual misconduct, including:

  • Procedures for reporting and investigating incidents
  • Educational workshops and programs
  • Resources at the College and in the community
  • Assistance with filing reports and accessing resources

The Annual Security and Fire Safety Report is LIM College’s main resource for members of the community seeking information and support in regards to sexual assault, sexual misconduct, and relationship violence. This document outlines the process by which LIM College investigates and adjudicates reports of sexual assault, sexual misconduct, and relationship violence.

Also provided are the results of the most recent climate survey. Anyone who wishes to file a report of sexual assault, sexual misconduct, or relationship violence, or who has questions or wants additional information, is encouraged to contact one of the Title IX Coordinators.
