Grailing King started teaching at LIM College on a part-time basis in 2006 and is currently a full-time faculty member in the Visual Studies Department. Among the courses he teaches are Visual Communication, Exhibition and Set Design, Visual Identity and Presentation, and Interdisciplinary Project Experience: The Virtual Fashion Show. He’s also the advisor for LIM’s Visual Club and had led LIM's Cross-Cultural Analysis trips to Amsterdam, Paris, London, Berlin, Barcelona, Rome and Florence.
As a visual merchandiser with vast professional experience in New York City, Professor King has created visual display installations for several top retail locations. During his time at Macy's Herald Square he had the opportunity to work on every floor of the store. At Victoria’s Secret he oversaw the flagship store as Visual Co-Director and then moved on to the Women’s Accessories and Cosmetics departments at Bergdorf Goodman.
Professor King holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication from Illinois State University and a Certificate in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. He received LIM College's Award for Teaching Excellence in 2014 and is a member of BRAG (Black Retail Action Group).
