When you were applying to colleges, what was most important to you to find the right fit? The sense of community and support from the college, as well as connections with my classmates.

What’s your top advice for applicants? Look at job postings related to the major or career you’re interested in. Reading those can help you understand what skills employers are looking for and give you a better idea of what the day-to-day work in that career actually looks like.

What’s your favorite part of being an Admissions Counselor? 
Interacting with international students on a daily basis and recruiting in other countries. This position has opened my eyes to new ways of thinking and taught me so much about the world.

Have you attended school outside of the U.S.?
I spent a year studying Italian language at La Universita Per Stanieri Di Perugia in Perugia, Italy

For the interview, channel your nerves into excitement. The interview is my favorite part of the application process and I look forward to meeting you!

What’s your favorite place to eat in NYC?
Eataly is one of my favorite places to grab a bite or buy some authentic Italian kitchen staples. It reminds me of my years living in Perugia.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would love to visit Japan during cherry blossom season. Watch the time-lapse videos on YouTube of blossoming trees in Tokyo, Kyoto, and around Mt. Fuji and then you’ll understand why I want to go!

When you were applying to college, what were you most worried about?
I wouldn’t say I was worried. I think it was a time when there was a lot of uncertainty, and it was hard to feel confident when you were entering a new chapter.

What's one piece of advice you would give to applicants?
Often the most difficult part of a journey is taking the first step. Believe in yourself!

Who is your style inspiration? Why?
I don’t know if I have a style inspiration, but I like Ralph Lauren.

I lived on the UES and love this place called Penrose. Excellent menu, from drinks to desserts!

What do you like most about LIM College?
I like the community that is present within LIM. Everyone has a goal, a mission, and a drive to see themselves be where they want to be in life, but also wanting that for others. Also, of course I may be biased... but being in the heart of NYC with everything it has to offer!

When you were applying to colleges, what were you most worried about?
I was worried about the affordability and making new friends. I applied for financial aid and made sure I applied right when the applications opened. For friendships, I broke out of my shell a little, but also stayed true to myself and gravitated toward those that I felt good about.

Advice for applicants:
College is everything you make it out to be. Explore everything that your college and city has to offer. Watch YouTube videos, TikToks, Instagram Reels, etc. Picture yourself in the space, I promise you will not regret it!

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Switzerland. It’s just so beautiful so that’s definitely on my bucket list

When you were applying to college, what were you most worried about?
I was most worried about being in a career that I was passionate about. I ultimately overcame that concern by learning more about myself and others around me. By the time I was ready to apply to LIM, all those worries went away!

What's one piece of advice you would give to applicants?
Be proud of yourself every step of the way and celebrate your accomplishments!

What’s your favorite food/place to eat in NYC?
There’s always a new one that I just haven’t discovered yet; but right now, it’s Emily’s in Clinton Hill. The best burger ever but also amazing pizza!

Who is your style inspiration?
I know this sounds cliché but the world around me. I love observing people’s creativity on how they wear clothes on just a daily basis. New York City is especially the best place to just look around and be inspired.

When you were applying to college, what were you most worried about? 
I was most concerned with finding the right field for me. I was able to start LIM majoring in Merchandising and switching to Marketing once I realized that I was most interested in that field. LIM is great at giving students the opportunity to experience different classes that ultimately lead to you finding out what is right for you.

What's one piece of advice you would give to applicants?
The best advice I could give is to visit the school and attend our events, it’s so important to really see what the school has to offer and how great the LIM community really is.

What’s your favorite food/place to eat in NYC?
The Thai Diner, their fried rice is better than any Thai place I’ve ever tried.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would travel to Japan for Nintendo world, the food, and all the Hello Kitty places.

When you were applying to colleges, what were you most worried about?
I was most worried about finding a school where I truly felt like I belonged and could see myself being successful. I wanted to feel confident that I was making the right choice for myself and my future.

Do you have any advice for applicants?
Take the time to find what’s right for you. Do your research, visit our campus, keep track of important deadlines, and don’t be afraid to ask questions. Most importantly, put yourself out there and connect with us. Every step is a chance to learn and grow!

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would travel to Peru! My dream is to hike to Machu Picchu and camp along the way.

Who is your style inspiration?
I get a lot of inspiration from the people I see around NYC. New Yorkers aren’t afraid to wear their favorite outfits and express themselves.

What’s your favorite food/place to eat in NYC?
It’s hard to pick just one with so many great cuisines in NYC, but I’d say Chirp, a Peruvian restaurant right around the corner from Maxwell Hall. They have the best rotisserie chicken!

When you were applying to college, what were you most worried about?
I was most worried about my picking the “wrong” major. I had zero clue what I wanted to do with my future and stressed heavily on picking the right path. When I realized picking the “correct” major wouldn’t pave the way for a successful future but rather hard work, dedication, and experience I overcame this concern. I utilized the many resources my undergraduate program offered and ensured a successful future regardless of my major.

What's one piece of advice you would give to applicants?
College is a milestone in your life. Not only is college an exciting experience but it is also an investment in your future. It’s important to visit the schools you are interested in and pick the right fit for you.

What’s your favorite food in NYC? 
A regular ham and cheese sandwich from the Bodega (specifically a Dominican Bodega)

Who is your style inspiration?
The Bratz dolls. I loved their clothing as a kid and still do. I enjoyed the creativity and the lack of care of what is supposed to go together. Bratz dolls mixed fabrics, patterns, and colors, they were experimental and unique in their clothing. I am inspired to have my clothes speak for me as they did for these characters.

When you were applying to colleges, what were you most worried about?
I spent a lot of time and energy fretting about acclimating to New York City, finding a community at my college, and whether pursuing my dreams would be worth it both academically and professionally. (Update: It was!)

What's your advice for applicants?
Remember that fashion is about taking risks and pushing against the status quo. Don't be afraid to trust in yourself and do the same!

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Mexico City has long been on my bucket list. The food, the art + architecture, the history.

Penelope Gazin of Fashion Brand Company is an inspiration to me in the way that her designs blend forward-thinking fashion with absurdity and humor. (She also makes clothing for lizards!)

Don’t be nervous—and make sure you ask us all your questions!

Marie Kondo’s Tidying Up. My little OCD heart couldn’t have loved it more.
