A comprehensive and affordable plan

We hope you won't get sick or injured, but if you do, LIM provides all full-time undergrads and part-time and full-time graduate students in on-campus programs with health insurance through Gallagher Student Health.

Health Insurance Cost: 

  • $2,500 (estimated) for coverage from August 15, 2024 through August 14, 2025

Benefits include:

  • Access to a comprehensive network of doctors, specialists and hospitals close to campus and home.
  • Coverage for hospital room and board, inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures, labs and x-rays, inpatient and outpatient mental health services, physician office visits and prescription drugs.
  • Worldwide travel assistance coverage while studying and traveling abroad.
  • Access to discounts for dental, eyewear and fitness services.

All full-time undergraduate students in on-campus programs are automatically enrolled in LIM's student health insurance plan unless proof of comparable health insurance coverage is provided. 

Students can waive coverage by submitting an online waiver form. Before waiving, you should review your current policy to be sure that it provides comparable coverage.

To find a doctor:

  • Visit Gallagher Student online, scroll to the bottom, and click "Find a Doctor." 
  • Log in to your United Health Care account or click “Register” to authenticate your account. 
  • Once signed in, you can search for doctors and pharmacies in your area. 

This plan is administered by Gallagher Student Health and Special Risk and underwritten by United Health Care. Gallagher also offers individual Personal Property, Study Abroad Medical Insurance, International Student & Scholar Medical Insurance and Short Term Medical Insurance plans on a voluntary basis.
