For Accepted Students For Accepted Students

Before you start any of the steps below, lock in your spot and officially say YES to LIM.

Submitting your deposit ($400) is your official way of saying “I’m coming to LIM!” It guarantees your place in the incoming class and unlocks access to all the next steps, like picking classes, applying for housing, and registering for orientation.

Don't leave money on the table! If you haven’t already, apply for financial aid.

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine your eligibility. Remember: put LIM’s school code (007466) on your form so we can receive a copy of your FAFSA.

Questions? Visit our financial aid page.

For Enrolled Students For Enrolled Students

Shortly after your deposit is made, you will receive an email with instructions for setting up your LIM College email. Complete the set up as soon as possible, as that is what will allow you to access all sorts of helpful resources.

Issues? Contact LIM's IT Help Desk at 646-218-2190 or itsupport@limcollege.edu.

Want to live in our residence hall? Submit your housing application here.

We’ll let you know if you’re approved for housing by May 16!

Need to find a roommate? Visit our New Student Events webpage for upcoming Roommate Mixers!

All new students must meet with an academic advisor (virtually or on campus) to register for fall classes.

Before Your Appointment: Placement Exams

  • Complete math and English placement exams 5-6 days in advance of your registration date/appointment. Exams close and cannot be completed after August 28, 2026
  • You may be waived from exams with AP, SAT, ACT, IB scores or college credits
  • Exams are completed online, in Canvas, which you access in myLIM (the student portal). Instructions for accessing exams are here. Note: study guides are available!

First Year Students: Register for a small group virtual or on-campus registration appointment.

Transfer Students: Submit all official college transcripts to admissions@limcollege.edu before registering. Register for a one-to-one virtual appointment or a small group on-campus appointment.

Immunization Records

New York State requires your immunization records before you can start classes. Submitting them now avoids last-minute stress and ensures you’re cleared to attend orientation and move-in.

Submit your immunizations here.

Health Insurance Waiver

All students are required to have health insurance. Full-time students are automatically enrolled in LIM’s plan unless they submit proof of comparable U.S.-based coverage.

  • Already insured? Submit a waiver to have the charge removed from your bill.
  • Need coverage? View plan details and enroll here.
  • Questions? Contact Student Financial Services: sfs@limcollege.edu or 212-310-0689

Final Transcripts: Official final transcripts and proof of graduation must be sent directly from the high school to admissions@limcollege.edu or mailed to: LIM College Admissions Office, 216 E 45th Street, New York, NY 10017.

First-Year Students

  • Submit your final high school transcript (must show graduation date)
    • If unavailable, submit your diploma
  • Also send transcripts for any college courses taken

Transfer Students

  • Submit official transcripts from all colleges attended

International Students

  • Submit official proof of secondary school completion (U.S. equivalent)
  • Include certified English translations (if needed) from a NACES-approved agency (example)
  • IB students: include final grades + course descriptions

Important: Transcripts must be “official,” meaning they should be sent directly from your school or an approved service (no copies).

How to Request Transcripts

Financial Clearance (Due July 27, 2026)

If you enroll after this date, you must be cleared before you will allowed to register for classes.

What this means: Your full first-semester tuition, fees, and housing (if applicable) must be paid or covered by financial aid or approved funding (e.g., loans, 529, etc.).

For a step-by-step guide through the financial clearance process, click here.

Your student ID is your passport to life at LIM. It gets you into buildings, events, and more. Plus, submitting your photo now means it’ll be ready for you at Orientation!

Submit your photo here.

Orientation is required, but it’s also where friendships start. Don’t skip it! It's designed to help you meet your future classmates, explore campus, and get comfortable with LIM. You’ll learn important info, make connections, and kick off your college experience with confidence. It’s required, but also lots of fun!
