Join us on campus to register for classes! Then, join us for lunch and the following activity:

Speed “Friending” / Get to Know Your Classmates: Spend a few minutes paired up a handful of your new peers. We’ll suggest some questions to get the ball rolling. You’re also encouraged to exchange info so you can stay in touch the rest of the summer!

As an international student, we want to ensure you are prepared with the tools and information you need prior to your arrival at LIM College. For this reason, it is mandatory to attend one of our online Pre-Departure Webinars.

9:00 - 10:00 a.m.

An opportunity for new graduate students to meet each other and become familiar with their faculty members and their Academic Advisor. We'll also explore all the resources available to master's students at LIM.

This is an opportunity for new undergraduate students to meet one another, learn about academic and social life at LIM College, and get questions answered by LIM students and staff.

Buddy Matchmaking: Find a partner among the other new students in attendance, who shares your goals and commitments. Stay in touch over the summer and when the semester begins, and keep engaging to stay on track with academic and personal goals.

9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  

All new graduate students are encouraged to attend this robust and informative event where you’ll meet other incoming students and connect with LIM faculty and staff. You’ll learn how to utilize our college resources to be academically and socially successful, while completing your graduate program.  

Lunch will be provided at 12:00 p.m.

11:50 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.  

Undergraduate students are expected to arrive at 11:50 a.m. Graduate students are expected to arrive at 1:00 p.m. 

Attendance is required for all new international students. 

This mandatory event introduces incoming international and exchange students to life at LIM College and in New York City. You’ll connect with fellow students from around the world and gain helpful tips to make your LIM experience as rewarding and memorable as possible. 

Lunch will be provided at 12:00 p.m. 

To register: use the Graduate or Undergraduate New Student Orientation links and select this event within the form.

Attendance is required for all new undergraduate students. 

August 28: 12:30 – 3:30 p.m. at the New York City Bar Association (a short walk from LIM). 

August 29: 12:30 – 3:30 p.m. at Maxwell Hall.

On these two days, you'll learn about the support and resources our school offers in order to ensure students have a successful transition. You’ll hear tips for academic success, learn about student clubs and organizations, as well as gaining important insights into our community and the closeness that we foster in the middle of The Big Apple.

9:30 a.m – 12:00 p.m.

Students are not permitted to attend this Orientation.

This event will be held at the same location as the Student Orientation (New York City Bar Association). This event is designed specifically for the parents and families of incoming LIM students and will feature information about resources the school offers to support students through their transition to our College.  

To register: the student must use the Student Orientation registration link and indicate which family members will attend Parent and Family Orientation during the sign-up process. 

Boarding at 6:00 p.m. – Chelsea Piers, Pier 61  

Cruise departs at 7:00 p.m. and returns at 10:00 p.m.  

What an amazing way to get introduced to this spectacular city by seeing it from the water with hundreds of your new LIM College friends and peers. This is a FREE event that all new students (undergraduate, transfer, online, and graduate) are invited to attend. Registration in advance is required.  

Shuttles will be provided from FOUND Study - Midtown East (569 Lexington Ave).
