Common Questions
You are a “transfer” applicant if you are currently, or have ever been, enrolled in a college or university as a degree-seeking student. (If you have taken college courses as a non-degree student or during high school, you should apply as a freshman.)
Our Transfer Services team will help determine which of your college credits will apply towards your LIM degree (We have a generous transfer policy, so probably most or all of them!)
Request a transfer credit evaluation right now by clicking here.
We accept applications on a rolling basis, up to the beginning of the Fall or Spring semester until all openings are filled. However, we strongly encourage you to apply as early as possible because our class sizes are limited. Once you submit all application materials, we’ll notify you of our decision within 2-4 weeks.

Transfer Admissions Checklist
To be considered for admissions, you must submit the completed online application along with a $40 non-refundable application fee or approved fee waiver. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis for regular admissions.
Applicants must submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended regardless of intent to receive credit for previous work. Transfer applicants must also submit official high school transcripts with proof of graduation or GED certificate.
We understand the transfer of your credits is an important factor in your decision to attend LIM College. View the articulation agreements and transfer guidelines or contact Transfer Services early in your search to learn how to maximize your transfer credits and browse our resources to aid in your college choice.

LIM College may require an on-campus interview for applicants. If so, the Admissions Office will contact you to schedule the interview. Students who desire an on-campus interview to supplement their application can request by email or call (212) 310-0639.
- LIM College has a test optional policy for admission, which means you can decide whether or not to submit your SAT or ACT scores. If you choose to submit, scores can be used to support your admission application AND/OR they can be used to evaluate academic placement should you decide to enroll at LIM.* When you complete your admissions application you may indicate if and how you would like us to use the score(s) by choosing one of the following options:
- I will submit test scores and want them reviewed with my application materials.
- I will send or have sent test scores but do not want them reviewed with my application materials.
- I will not submit scores.
