Hilda Alfonso has taught at LIM College since 2009, starting as an adjunct faculty member and becoming a full-time faculty member in 2014. In 2019, she was promoted to Senior Lecturer. She currently teaches Textiles and the “What’s Trending” elective.
Professor Alfonso has extensive professional experience in the fashion industry. Most recently, she was a Sales Manager for Ulster Weavers. She has also been a Production Manager for E.S. Sutton, Inc. (Kmart Private Label) and a Production Coordinator for Bentex Group, a company which coordinates licensed apparel for brands including Sesame Street, Disney, and Peanuts.
Professor Alfonso holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Production Management Textiles from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
