About

Liz Sweibel joined LIM College as an adjunct faculty member in 2005 and transitioned to a full-time position in 2012. She teaches Professional Communications and Critical Thinking: Reading, Writing, and Research, and Contemporary Art.  Her online Contemporary Art course was nominated for a Blackboard Exemplary Course Award in 2012.

Professor Sweibel maintains an active studio practice and exhibition schedule as a contemporary visual artist. She has also worked as an independent writer and editor since 1984.  

Professor Sweibel holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art from Maine College of Art, a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Manhattan College, a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Florida, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from Massachusetts College of Art.
