Intro Title
LIM has been on Phi Theta Kappa’s Transfer Honor Roll every year since it began in 2016.

Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK) has once again named LIM College to its Transfer Honor Roll, in recognition of the dynamic pathways created to support transfer students. PTK is the premier honor society recognizing the academic achievement of students at associate degree-granting colleges. More than 3.8 million students have been inducted since 1918.

The 2022 Transfer Honor Roll, which includes 171 colleges and universities, is determined by key metrics related to the support and success of transfer students, including college cost and financial aid, campus life, admission practices, and bachelor’s degree completion rates.

Spotlighted at the 2022 American Council on Education (ACE) conference, the Transfer Honor Roll recognizes the importance of creating strong transfer pathways that lead to excellence and success among community college transfer students. The educational institutions named to this year’s Honor Roll had exceptional outcomes in areas such as the amount of credit transferred toward a degree major, and the percent of transfer students receiving merit-based financial aid.

“This award is so important because it is based on what students tell us they need from their transfer experience,” says Dr. Lynn Tincher-Ladner, President and CEO of Phi Theta Kappa. “We are honored to recognize the colleges and universities working exceptionally hard to create stronger pathways to bachelor’s degree completion for all students.”

Transfer students make up a significant portion of LIM’s undergraduate student body, with approximately 40% of students transferring in from other colleges and universities.
