Intro Title
As one of five finalists, Fatmata Camara is in the running for a $25,000 grand prize.

Fatmata Camara, an online student in LIM's Fashion Merchandising BBA program, has reached the final round in this year's National Retail Federation (NRF) Foundation Next Generation Scholarship competition.

This prestigious industry scholarship is a major achievement for students who are interested in pursuing retail careers. Acknowledging college undergraduates who possess leadership skills, have retail experience and expertise, and demonstrate a passion for shaping the future of retail, this program prepares and encourages them to launch those careers and allows them to be recognized among an emerging generation of industry leaders.

The 2023-2024 NRF Foundation Next Generation Scholarship contest involved a summer case study, created in collaboration with Macy’s, Inc., in addition to interviews with assigned retailers. Top participants made the "final five" through participating in further video interviews with NRF staff. The final round of the competition will now consist of interviews with the NRF Foundation Board of Directors.

Announcement of the $25,000 scholarship recipient will be made at the NRF's Foundation Honors event in New York City on January 14.
