Major: The Business of Cannabis

Why are you choosing to major in The Business of Cannabis?
Given how new the legal adult-use market is, there are so many job possibilities, and going into a new industry like this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. My ultimate career goal is to combine cannabis and luxury through the accessories side of the business. I also want to be a part of normalizing cannabis wear in home décor!

What made you choose LIM for the next step in your education?
An LIM Admissions Counselor came to my fashion design class senior year of high school, and this school checked all the boxes for me. Going to a small school in a city was exactly what I was looking for. What made me really want to go was how hands-on the school was during the application process.

What do you like best about your major?
I am passionate about the course material. The Introduction to the Cannabis Industry class involves a broad range of subjects, such as activism, history, science, and basic cultivation. My professor there has great insight into the industry because he’s worked in it for years.

What's it like going to school in New York City?
Being a college student in New York is a dream come true. We’re surrounded by so much culture and action, so there’s never a dull moment. There are also so many internship opportunities here, made possible because of the diverse companies that call New York City their home.

Anything else you'd like to add?
LIM is truly an amazing school. They really care about each student.
