For Eleonora, one of the key benefits of transferring to LIM was the College’s thorough and generous credit transferring process, even as she was coming from an international university. Now, she’s loving the experience of being a New York City college student and on track for her desired graduation date.

What made you choose to transfer to LIM College?

LIM is wonderful about transferring credits. I wanted to be able to transfer all credits from my previous university, so I could start my career as soon as possible. Before I applied, I’d also heard about how this school has a lot of connections in the industry, and now I can confirm this! Career fairs, guest speaker sessions, etc.—all of it is very helpful with finding a job and getting experience.

What was the transfer application process like, coming from an international school?

I needed to convert my credits from my country’s system to the American system, and LIM guided me on the companies I could work with to do that—this was very helpful since I was not familiar with the process at all. It was easy and quick. I was constantly in contact with my LIM advisors, had several meetings about the transfer of my credits, and was kept in the loop about my application status all along. LIM accepted all my existing credits—I was very happy that none of my efforts went to waste.

Did you receive any scholarships or financial assistance?

Yes, I received academic achievement scholarships per semester, as well as an LIM Grant.

What's it like going to school in New York City?

I enjoy it very much! Moscow is even bigger than New York, so I’m 100% a city girl, so the energy and the atmosphere of the city motivates me a lot. Also, I am super happy that can find healthy lunch options near campus—this is important when you spend a lot of time at school. I always wanted to be in the middle of the city, so this is perfect.

Anything else you'd like to add?

My major, Business of Fashion, involves a perfect combination of creative and business classes. I think LIM is a great school that will truly guide anyone through the start of their career.
