2022 Commencement Speaker

Todd Snyder will deliver the keynote address and receive the College’s Distinguished Achievement Award at our May 23, 2022 Commencement ceremony in Central Park. He will also receive an honorary Doctor of Commercial Science degree.

Described by GQ as "the most influential menswear designer of his generation," Todd Snyder pushes creative boundaries and is on the cutting edge of fashion retail. Todd launched his eponymous line in 2011 and the brand's store locations have been widely hailed as innovative retail and lifestyle hubs.

Next Steps

To be able to graduate, all students must complete a Graduation Audit by April 1, 2022. Graduation Audit applications are sent to the LIM College email account of eligible* students by the Office of the Registrar.

January 2022 grads will receive their Graduation Audit applications in Fall 2021. May and August 2022 grads will receive their Graduation Audit applications in Spring 2022.

  • Undergraduate students: Schedule an appointment with your Academic Advisor to determine your eligibility to graduate.
  • Graduate students: Contact the Graduate Studies Department to determine your eligibility to graduate.
  • Online students: Contact your Online Advisor to determine your eligibility to graduate.

All graduates may request 2 complimentary guest tickets for the Commencement ceremony. To claim your tickets, complete this form.

You can also use this form to request additional tickets (at a cost of $30 each). Please note that ADDITIONAL TICKETS ARE NOT GUARANTEED, and only a limited number of additional tickets will be available, based on venue capacity. The deadline to request all Commencement tickets is April 22.

We will provide FREE caps and gowns for all Class of 2022 graduates. You must place your order online by April 15, 2022. (choose "Cap & Gown" from the menu at the top of the page, then GRADUATION REGALIA when ordering).

Your cap and gown (and hood, if applicable) will be shipped directly to you. You are responsible for payment for the shipping, handling and any additional items you add to your shopping cart (graduation announcements, international stoles, etc.)

  • Summa Cum Laude: 3.85 and higher cumulative GPA

  • Magna Cum Laude: 3.70 to 3.84 cumulative GPA

  • Cum Laude: 3.50 to 3.69 cumulative GPA

(Only students who have submitted a completed Application for Graduation by the due date will be eligible for Commencement awards. Final determination of honors is only available after a student's last semester final grades have been certified. Any student who has been involved in an academic dishonesty incident is not eligible for any Commencement honor or award.)

LIM College’s Mu Rho Chapter of the Delta Mu Delta International Business Honor Society inducts students pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration degree who demonstrate academic excellence with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and are in the top 20 percent of their class. Members of Delta Mu Delta wear a purple and gold cord at Commencement.

LIM College’s Kappa Zeta Chapter of the Alpha Beta Kappa Honor Society inducts students pursuing associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees who demonstrate academic excellence. To be inducted, one must be in the top 20 percent of their class with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher for undergraduate students and a cumulative GPA ≥ 3.8 for graduate students. Members of Alpha Beta Kappa wear a red and navy-blue cord at Commencement.
