Marla Greene teaches a variety of courses, including Buying and Merchandising Math, Advanced Buying and Planning, and Assortment Planning and Buying Strategies.
Professor Greene has worked in the industry as a Merchandise Manager for Liz Claiborne Outlet Stores and as a Buyer for Bare Necessities, Belk Store Services, and Kids R Us.
She founded and is the faculty advisor for LIM College's chapter of the National Retail Federation Student Association. She also mentors students competing for Fashion Scholarship Fund (FSF) and Geoffrey Beene scholarships. Additionally, Professor Greene played an instrumental role in creating LIM's Retail Buying & Planning track for Fashion Merchandising majors and was the revising author for Mathematics for Retail Buying, 8th edition.
Professor Greene received LIM College’s Award for Teaching Excellence in 2010 and was a President’s Award recipient in 2009. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing from Pace University’s Lubin Graduate School of Business. She is a member of the American Collegiate Retailing Association, the National Retail Federation, and the Retail Marketing Society.
