Nancy Miller teaches a variety of undergraduate courses, including, but not limited to, Introduction to the Fashion Business, Textiles, Product Development and Merchandising, and Product Lifecycle Management. At the graduate level she teaches Advanced Fashion Merchandising. She also coordinates the academic offerings and teaches in LIM College’s summer program for high school students, works with adjunct faculty as a course coordinator, and serves as a faculty advisor to students majoring in Fashion Merchandising. In 2019, she was promoted to Assistant Professor.
Prior to joining LIM College, Professor Miller enjoyed a career that spanned more than 25 years and included work in textile sales management, apparel merchandising, and product development. Previous positions include Senior Sales Account Manager for the Royal Carolina Corporation and Waverly Textile Processing, Director of Merchandising for Dr. Denton Childrenswear, and Product Manager for Kingly/Bees & Jam, Inc.
A member of the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists and Fashion Group International, Professor Miller was inducted into the Sigma Beta Delta national honor society in 2008 and was the recipient of LIM College’s Award for Teaching Excellence in 2009.
Professor Miller holds a Master of Education degree — with a specialization in Leadership in Higher Education — from Northcentral University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Syracuse University, and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Fashion Buying and Merchandising from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
