Shelly Nicholas owns Pretty Knotty, which designs and manufactures performance hair accessories. She and her business partner patented their signature hair-retaining device and method of manufacturing.
Shelly has extensive experience working in economic development with a special focus on small business initiatives. Her previous work experience includes: Entrepreneurs' Organization, the New York Stock Exchange, the New York City Department of Small Business Services, the Center for Women and Enterprise, and the Connecticut Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Shelly also has experience working in the sports and entertainment industries at the NFL and Atlantic Records.
