On Campus: Spring 2024 Jewelry Trends

LIM hosts Accessories Council-sponsored presentation

Juliet and Mai Adorn

On June 7, LIM College’s Maxwell Hall served as the site for an Accessories Council-sponsored jewelry trend presentation.

Juliet Hutton-Squire and Maia Adams, founders of British jewelry consultancy company ADORN, discussed jewelry trends for Spring 2024 and how they help companies bring these concepts to life.

At the conclusion of the presentation, LIM students and other attendees had the opportunity to ask questions about the jewelry industry and gain insight from the presenters.

During their presentation, Juliet and Maia showed various trends and the inspiration and research behind them. One of these trends was Relaxed Elegance, a concept aimed at striking a balance between sophistication and ease, allowing individuals to express their unique sense of style in a relaxed yet refined manner. This included bulbous shapes, chain links, pave set diamonds, and brushed metals, with key pieces such as earrings and bangles.

ADORN was established in 2010. With backgrounds as a jewelry buyer and a jewelry journalist respectively, Juliet and Maia set out with a clear goal in mind—to merge strategic thinking, creativity, and expertise to propel the jewelry business forward.

Fueled by their collective vision, ADORN has become a trusted name in the industry, providing guidance and trend forecasting to jewelry brands and designers worldwide. ADORN empowers brands and designers to create exceptional pieces that resonate with consumers while staying true to their own brand identity.

“What we strive to do at ADORN is give brands a concept,” said Juliet. “Companies can take things like the designs, materials and metals we suggest and apply them to their brand without compromising their identity.”
