As a college student, it’s important to know the best food spots. Whether it’s a quick bite, a fun lunch location, or a nice restaurant to treat visiting family, I’ve got your back! Luckily, the Ludlow Residence is in New York City’s Lower East Side, which is known for its good restaurants.

Here are 6 great food spots to try around the Ludlow!

Tres Leche Cafe

This little corner café is perfect if you have a sweet tooth. They have delicious Dominican Republic confections like tres leches cakes and cheesecake. They also have a photo printing birthday cake service. This cafe is run by Ronaldo Felipe and his wife Luisa who created all of the sweet recipes. We love a family-run café! Go check it out; they’re open every day, 11am-7pm.

Excuse My French- Fancy French Food

This French restaurant is perfect for treating visitors to dinner or brunch; they have indoor and outdoor dining! Excuse My French is known for their dinner menu, small tapas-style plates, and sliders. For brunch, you have to try the French toast with berries. Be warned, it’s a bit pricey and it's reservation only, but the food looks delicious. You must try it, plan brunch with the besties and call and make a reservation!
