Intro Title
LIM College hosted a book signing for New York-based business executive Terri Eagle, founder, owner, and chief strategist of The Terri Eagle Group.

The October 23 event celebrated Eagle's award-winning book, The Champagne CEO: A Sparkling Journey of Success Through Courage, Confidence, and Collaboration, which draws on her experiences leading major brands such as L'Oréal, Montblanc, David Yurman, Schumacher, and Morilee. Through personal stories and practical leadership advice, the book explores the role that courage, confidence, resilience, and strong professional relationships play in building a successful career.

Hosted at Maxwell Hall for LIM College students, faculty, staff, and industry guests, the signing event featured a candid conversation with Eagle about her career journey and the lessons she has learned during her 25+ years of executive leadership. Attendees also had the opportunity to ask questions and receive signed copies of the book.

Among the key themes Eagle emphasized was the importance of taking initiative and creating opportunities by simply asking for them and by embracing the power of self-advocacy. Drawing on her career journey, Eagle encouraged attendees to pursue opportunities with confidence, noting that "sometimes, the greatest opportunities begin with the courage to simply ask."

Eagle also spoke about the value of investing in people and building strong teams. Many of her success stories, from leading organizational transformations to navigating challenging business environments, centered on the talented colleagues and mentors who helped make those achievements possible.

Another topic that resonated strongly with students was the importance of developing an executive presence early in one's career. Eagle discussed what she described as the necessity of professionally "tooting your own horn," encouraging members of the audience to understand their value, communicate their accomplishments, and be active participants in shaping their paths.

The conversation sparked thoughtful questions from LIM students and guests about leadership, brand building, and professional development, creating an engaging and inspiring afternoon.
