Comprehensive evaluation process affirms the strength of the college's academic programs.

LIM College has officially been reaffirmed for accreditation by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), marking the successful conclusion of a multi-year self-study and evaluation process.

The Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) is a global institutional accreditor recognized by the United States Secretary of Education since 1952. MSCHE assures students and the public of the educational quality for its over 500 institutions of higher education, which include such prestigious institutions as Cornell University, Princeton University, and the University of Pennsylvania. The Commission’s accreditation process ensures institutional accountability, self-appraisal, improvement, and innovation through peer review and the rigorous application of standards within the context of institutional mission.

LIM’s reaffirmation of accreditation follows an extensive, multi-year process of institutional self-examination and peer review. Through its self-study, LIM evaluated its effectiveness across the full range of MSCHE standards, including mission and goals; ethics and integrity; the design and delivery of the student learning experience; support of the student experience; educational effectiveness assessment; planning, resources, and institutional improvement; and governance, leadership, and administration.

The process culminated in a comprehensive evaluation visit from a team of peer reviewers in Spring 2026. The team examined extensive institutional evidence and met with members of the LIM community, including students, faculty, staff, administrators, members of the Board of Directors, and institutional leadership.

The successful outcome affirms the strength of LIM College’s academic programs and institutional practices and reflects the College’s commitment to student success, educational quality, assessment, evidence-based decision-making, and continuous institutional improvement.

Said Dean of Academic Administration Dr. Peter E. Ziorgiannis, "The accreditation process was truly an institution-wide effort and demonstrated the strength of a community committed to LIM’s mission and to providing students with a high-quality educational experience. While reaffirmation represents an important milestone, LIM views accreditation as part of an ongoing commitment to institutional excellence rather than an endpoint. The insights gained through the self-study and peer-review process will continue to inform the College’s strategic priorities, assessment activities, academic planning, and continuous improvement efforts in the years ahead."
