Intro Title
LIM College’s annual student fashion show, titled "The Journey of the Diamond," will be held at the Hammerstein Ballroom on April 5, 2019 at 7:30 p.m.

“The Journey of the Diamond” will explore the different stages that a diamond must go through in order to become a polished jewel. The event will feature more than 40 models, representing LIM’s diverse student body. The LIM College Dance Team will open the show with a special performance.

The host of this year’s show will be celebrity stylist and lifestyle expert Dennis Kenney. Having styled celebrities and on-air personalities for Good Morning America, the Emmys, the SAG Awards, and numerous film premieres, Dennis is a creative force in the fashion world and the founder of “Style With Den.”

“LIM’s Fashion Show Production Club provides students with a hands-on educational experience in planning and producing a professional-level New York City fashion show.

While students do not design or create the garments featured on the runway, they are responsible for every other aspect of the production of the event—from lighting and music to seating and model selection—making the stakes of creating a memorable show feel as high as producing one for New York Fashion Week. All clothing and accessories featured in the show will be chosen by students working in collaboration with designer showrooms throughout New York City.

Each year, over 1,000 guests attend the LIM College Fashion Show. 2019 marks the show’s 75th continuous year, as well as LIM College’s 80th anniversary.

Tickets are now on sale for “The Journey of the Diamond” event here. Prices are $30 for general admission or $75 for VIP. Also, LIM student tickets are $15 and faculty/staff tickets are $20.
