Intro Title
After a competitive selection process, LIM College students Laurence Mobio, Charnelle Thompson, and Savannah Winstead received three of the 10 scholarships presented at the 49th Annual BRAG Gala, held October 21.

BRAG is a non-profit organization that prepares and educates professionals, entrepreneurs and students of color for executive leadership positions in the retail, fashion and related industries.

Each year at their Scholarship and Awards Gala, BRAG recognizes the achievements of exceptional individuals in the fashion, retail and related industries who are redefining the business of retail and fashion and whose work aligns with BRAG’s mission. Scholarships are also awarded to high-potential students with demonstrated financial need.

Among this year's honorees were fashion designer Dapper Dan; Eric Archibald, Creative Director of Diplomacy Worldwide; and Leonard Lawson, CEO of Bond Creative. ABC News correspondent Linsey Davis served as the evening’s host.

Led by Co-President Shawn Outler (a member of LIM’s Fashion Industry Advisory Board), BRAG is an important partner of LIM College. There has been a chapter of BRAG on campus since 2007, providing students with numerous scholarship, mentoring, networking, internship and employment opportunities. In 2018, LIM College President Elizabeth S. Marcuse received BRAG’s Fashion Leadership Award.
