Orientation programming recognized by international association for student affairs

LIM College recently received the inaugural Collaboration Award from the NASPA Orientation, Transition, and Retention Knowledge Community.

NASPA (Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education) is the leading professional association for student affairs. The Collaboration Award, which recognizes exemplary partnership across an institution, was given in recognition of the College’s cross-functional approach for preparing incoming students for success at LIM and in New York City during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2020, LIM’S New Student Orientation Taskforce pivoted to develop a robust virtual Orientation experience that provided incoming students with a wide range of opportunities for self-development, career and academic exploration, and connection to each other and campus resources.
