Intro Title
Students get experience in interviewing, sound editing, and audience engagement

A group of LIM students have carved out a digital niche in which they share thoughts and experiences in addition to publicly discussing issues of pressing importance.

The Digital Culture in Business and Life class launched the "LIM Community Vibe" podcast as a way to learn about the podcast form itself and experiment with increasing engagement around personal brands as media entities.

Episodes address current events, edgy subject matter, interesting issues, and personal experiences. Topics range from politics and social issues to fashion and pop culture, and everything in between.

"Each episode is about five minutes in length, framed with an into and outro; but, what happens in between is up to the students," said Dr. Alex Symons, the course professor who also supervises podcast production.

"The only core expectation is they interview at least one other person and experiment with editing music and sound. This is all meant to help students connect with each other and express themselves—starting and shaping important conversations."

The Community Vibe podcast is hosted on Stitcher, where installments are uploaded as they're completed: www.stitcher.com/show/lim-community-vibe
