Fatmata was recently selected as a semi-finalist in the prestigious National Retail Federation (NRF) Foundation Next Generation Scholarship competition. During the summer of 2023, she will develop a case study for Macy's and it will be judged by a panel of retail executives. The top prize in the NRF scholarship competition is $25,000.

In addition, my advisor’s unwavering support and regular check-ins have been a nurturing presence. Above all, the fast-paced nature of the classes keeps me excited!

What sets the professors apart is their illustrious background in the fashion industry, which translates into an unmatched repository of practical knowledge and acumen in synchrony with contemporary trends. What do you like the most about learning in an online format?
The most empowering aspect of learning in an online format is the sheer capacity to chase my dreams and cultivate my professional acumen while maintaining a full-time job. The sense of belonging is unmatched! Even as an online student, you have access to an array of clubs, virtual career fairs, and events that keep the LIM spirit alive.
What are your career goals?
My career aspirations are deeply rooted in scaling new heights in merchandising or product development. The robust foundation LIM College has provided is already yielding amazing opportunities. A testament to this was when my professors nominated me for the Fashion Scholarship Fund, where my merchandising case study was lauded with a scholarship. With an ever-growing network and relentless dedication, my eyes are firmly set on making indelible marks within the luxury fashion industry and I know LIM will be there for me every step of the way!
