What made you choose LIM as the next step in your education?
I actually attended two previous colleges before LIM. I really struggled with what career I wanted to pursue, and some time off from school turned out to be the best thing I could have done, as it gave me space to explore potential careers. I realized that I had such a strong passion for fashion and thought, “Why don’t I turn this into a career?” I started to research fashion schools in Manhattan. LIM popped up, and once I started perusing the website and saw how much the school offered, I knew it was the perfect place to jumpstart my fashion career.
What was the transfer application process like?
Simple! LIM took all of my credits from both my previous schools, which was one of the biggest reliefs throughout the entire process. Plus, LIM’s Transfer Services team was a tremendous help with my questions and with making sure I was on the right track when it came to the courses I'd be taking. I also received an Academic Achievement Scholarship, which was a big financial help.
What do you like best about the Business of Fashion major?
I love how many career options there are with this degree! The fashion industry has so many major opportunities, and I feel that with a Business of Fashion degree, I can move in any direction I choose.
What’s it like going to school in New York City?
Exciting! Invigorating! As a college student in this city, Manhattan really is your campus explore so much around you and get involved in all the city has to offer.
