Jumpstart Your Fashion Career This Summer

Step into New York City’s fashion industry this summer and experience what it’s really like to study fashion at a college level.

Through LIM Fashion Academy’s non-credit courses, you’ll create portfolio-ready projects, explore career paths across the fashion and retail landscape, and learn directly from industry professionals.

From design to styling to merchandising and branding, you can customize your week by choosing the courses that align with your goals. This is your chance to experience fashion in the fashion capital of the world.

Eligibility

Open to current high school students (grades 9-12). Students must be 14-18 years old by the first day of the program.

Registration

Students may register for multiple courses. All eligible bundle discounts will automatically be applied at checkout.

"Try on" a NYC Fashion Education

An immersive, hands-on experience that lets you explore academics, campus life, and New York City just like an LIM student.

Courses

Fashion Merchandising, Branding & Marketing — New York City

Explore how brands go from concept to consumer. Build a digital mood board, analyze influencers, and discover what makes brands pop. Includes an NYC industry field trip.

Dates: July 13-16, 2026
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Cost: $300

Fashion Design Studio — New York City

Learn basic sewing and garment construction—no experience needed. Work inside LIM’s Sewing Studio and create an original fashion item from start to finish. Includes fabric shopping.

Dates: July 13-16, 2026
Time: 11:15 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Cost: $350
Extras: 30-minute break + lunch provided Mon and Thur

Fashion Styling — New York City

Go behind the scenes of a real styling job. You’ll plan a mini-campaign, pull looks, and style a full photoshoot with a pro photographer, hairstylist, and makeup artist. Industry field trip may be included.

Fashion Merchandising, Branding & Marketing — Virtual

Similar to the in-person course but adapted for online learners. Create a digital mood board and explore influencer marketing and brand strategy.

Dates: July 13-16, 2026
Time: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. ET
Cost: $250
