As part of a recent leadership shuffle at the online dating service Hinge, 2005 LIM College alumna Tamika Young was appointed to the position of Chief Marketing and Communications Officer (CMCO). Tamika has been with Hinge since 2023, when she was originally hired as VP of Global Communications.
The company's transition is driven by the announcement that the app's Founder and CEO Justin McLeod now intends to launch a new AI-centered dating product. Per corporate communications about the change, former CMO and President Jackie Jantos was promoted to CEO effective immediately, and Tamika was named as taking on the expanded CMCO role.
Under her new title, Tamika will be guiding Hinge's global values, with enhanced focus on international users of the app.
"Being named CMCO at Hinge is both an honor and a defining moment in my career," said Tamika. "My interest in this field began in an early PR class that showed me the power of storytelling—a spark that led me into the broader world of communications and marketing. That foundation has shaped how I approach this work, and I’m grateful to bring it into this next chapter."
Having earned her bachelor's degree from LIM in Marketing, Tamika remains a wonderfully involved College alum, working closely with students in the school's Honors Program and participating in panel discussions for special events.
