My name is Sylvie Serant, I am an LIM graduate and founder of BATA NYC. This is a fashion label focused on organic creation, community, and sustainability. To me, the hardest part about starting a business … was actually starting.

My name is Danielle Dinten. I am a fashion stylist, a fashion show coordinator, and most importantly, an LIM College alumni, Class of 2012. I emphasize this because without LIM College, I would not be where I am today. I owe LIM a huge thank you for introducing me to such amazing experiences and opportunities.

While LIM is known for being spectacular in the business side of fashion, that doesn’t mean there aren’t designers in our midst. The Sewing Club is the perfect chance to have a lot of fun with the more creative side of fashion.

Personally, the start of every semester has me feeling incredibly excited. But at the same point, it can feel super overwhelming. This semester, I’m taking 18 credits, am apart of two clubs, have a mentor position, and am working for LIM's marketing office. Sometimes, it can feel like a lot of pressure.
