With a renewed commitment to following all local, state and federal requirements as well as the additional LIM safety measures outlined above, we believe the same is possible in Spring 2021.

Spring 2021 Quick Q&A

A. If I have received the new COVID vaccine, am I exempt from the safety measures outlined above?

No. Scientists have not yet established whether or not vaccinated individuals can still spread the COVID-19 virus - so all members of the campus community must adhere with the full scope of the College’s safety measures until further information is available from local, state, and federal authorities. An example of many recent articles on this subject can be found here: Healthline

B. Do I need to quarantine if I travel at any point during the Spring 2021 semester?

Possibly. It depends on where you are travelling. To see the most up-to-date travel restrictions please visit https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/covid-19-travel-advisory

C. Does quarantining as a result of travel count as an excused absence?

No. Students, faculty and staff are urged to think and plan carefully before making any plans to travel outside of the state during the Spring 2021 semester.

D. How long will we have to follow all of these enhanced guidelines?

For now, we are planning to require these processes at least through the end of the Spring 2021 semester. We continue to monitor the situation and will keep you all informed.

E. Will all student service offices (such as Advising, SFS, CIS, etc.) be available during the spring semester?

Yes. However, in order to keep everyone as safe as possible and numbers of people on campus to a minimum, some services and offices will continue to be offered remotely.

F. I have a few questions. How can I get them answered?

At any time, questions can be sent to LIMAnswers [at] limcollege.edu.

In addition, we are planning a special edition of LIM Answers on Demand open forum on Thursday, February 4th at 8pm. Registration information will follow shortly.
