At LIM College, almost no student pays full tuition. Most receive scholarships, grants, or other forms of aid that directly reduce the cost.

Last year, LIM awarded more than $8 million total in financial aid — based on each student’s academic, financial, and personal situation.

Cost of Attendance:

The total estimated cost to attend (including tuition, fees, housing, meals, books, transportation, etc) before you receive any financial aid. This is listed on all college websites.

How to Apply for Financial Aid

Step 1: Complete the FAFSA

The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is a form that helps determine how much federal and state aid you may be eligible for, including grants that don’t need to be repaid.

What you’ll need:

  • Your FSA ID (create at studentaid.gov)
  • Your and/or your parent(s)’ tax returns
  • W-2s and income documents
  • Records of untaxed income (if applicable)

Health Insurance Waiver 
Waiving automatic enrollment in the College health insurance plan could save you up to $2,350 per year. To waive the insurance plan, you must have:

  • Active health insurance that meets New York state minimum requirements
  • Proof of coverage (insurance card + policy details)
  • Waiver submitted before the deadline

Your FAFSA applies to the Fall, Spring, and Summer terms of the academic year you’re applying for. For example, a FAFSA for a given aid year will cover the Fall and Spring semesters of that year, plus the following Summer term.

No. International students are not eligible for federal or state aid. However, all students can apply for a private student loan with an eligible co-signer. Visit a lender comparison site and use mainstream online search engines to review some of your lender options. In addition, all students are eligible to be considered for LIM College scholarship funds.
