Been accepted to LIM? Congrats! You’re officially in, and your LIM College journey is about to begin. So...now what?

Here's your step-by-step guide to everything you need to do this summer to join us on campus this fall.

Most Important: Submit Your Deposit

Before you start any of the steps below, lock in your spot and officially say YES to LIM. Submitting your deposit is your official way of saying “I’m in!” It guarantees your place in the incoming class and unlocks access to all the next steps, like picking classes, applying for housing, and registering for orientation.

To submit your enrollment deposit, just log into your student portal.

Once you’ve submitted your deposit, you can start with the first step on your summer checklist:

Step 1: Meet With an Academic Advisor & Choose Your Classes

All new students must meet with an academic advisor—virtually or on campus—to register for fall classes.

Before Your Appointment:

  • Complete math and English placement exams 2–3 days in advance (due by August 29, 2025)
  • You may be waived with AP, SAT, ACT, IB scores or college transcripts
  • Exams are online in Canvas via myLIM

First Year Students: Register for a small group virtual or on-campus registration appointment.

Transfer Students: Submit all official college transcripts before registering. Register for a one-to-one virtual appointment or a small group on-campus appointment.

Step 2: Apply for Housing

Want to live in the heart of NYC with fellow LIM students? Housing fills up fast, so applying early gives you the best shot at snagging a spot. Living on campus also helps you build friendships and fully immerse yourself in college life from day one.

Planning to live on campus? Submit your housing application ASAP.

Insider Tip: Join one of our upcoming virtual or on-campus summer events to connect with your future roommates.

Step 3: Submit Your Immunization Records

New York State requires your immunization records before you can start classes. Submitting them now avoids last-minute stress and ensures you’re cleared to attend orientation and move-in.

Submit your immunizations here.

Step 4: Complete Financial Clearance

Taking care of your financial paperwork ensures that you’re officially enrolled and ready for classes. It also helps you understand your costs, access your aid, and avoid any holds on your account. Doing it by the deadline means no last-minute surprises.

Complete all steps in your financial clearance guide by July 24.

Step 5: Register for Orientation

Orientation is required, but it’s also where friendships start. Don’t skip it! It's designed to help you meet your future classmates, explore campus, and get comfortable with LIM. You’ll learn important info, make connections, and kick off your college experience with confidence. It’s required—but also lots of fun!

  • August 28 & 29: New Student Orientation (Register)

If you are an international student, you must also attend the International Student Orientation on August 26. You can add this event to your registration via the RSVP link above.

Step 6: Get Social & Start Networking

Following LIM on social media (@LIMCollege) and on ZeeMee keeps you in the loop on everything happening before school starts. It’s also a great way to meet other incoming students and start building your community before you even arrive.

Step 7: Submit Your Student ID Photo

Your student ID is your passport to life at LIM. It gets you into buildings, events, and more. Plus, submitting your photo now means it’ll be ready for you at Orientation!

Submit your photo here.

Step 8: Stock Up on Supplies

Having your essentials—like a laptop, notebooks, and a solid (stylish) bag—means you’ll be ready to hit the ground running. While textbooks come later, having your basics in place helps you feel organized and confident for day one.

Step 9: Plan Your Move to NYC

Moving to NYC is exciting, but it takes planning. Sorting out your move-in details, packing smart, and learning how to get around helps you settle in quickly and enjoy the city from the start. Move-in starts at the end of August. Here are some tips to help you figure out your move-in day game plan:

Step 10: Join Clubs & Get Involved

College isn’t just about classes. Joining clubs is a great way to make friends, build leadership skills, and dive into your interests. LIM College has a variety of clubs and groups related to fashion, business, and entrepreneurship. When you get to campus, don’t hesitate to sign up for clubs like the Fashion Show Production Club or The Lexington Line

Insider Tip: Follow the @LifeatLIM Instagram account to learn about all the clubs and campus events open to you!

Step 11: Get HYPED

You’re about to start an unforgettable journey in the heart of NYC’s fashion world. Whether you're into marketing, styling, merchandising, or launching your own brand—LIM is where it begins.

Fall classes start on September 2. Let’s make this your runway. See you at LIM!
