Clubs and Orgs to Develop Your Passions (and Your Resume!)

Think back on high school ... What are your top memories? Probably not sitting down to take a test or hear a lecture. Those are vital pieces of the experience, for sure! But they don't compare to the teams, clubs, and student committees we joined to build connections and community. Those, we cherish on a whole different level.

At LIM College, our campus life clubs and organizations are definitely can’t-miss chances to engage with peers and pursue shared interests. But they’re also extensions of our school's learning-by-doing philosophy. Affinity groups? Check. Special interest clubs? Check. Immersive extracurriculars where you do hands-on work with incredible professional contacts? Double check!

In this blog, we'll highlight some of our most popular Student Life opportunities, as well as share insights directly from current and past participants:

Fashion Design Club
"The Fashion Design Club is for anyone and everyone, no matter the skill level! It provides a space for LIM students to practice their sewing and design skills, as well as to showcase them. The club has had many opportunities that aspiring designers can wait years for, including exhibiting designs in a fashion show and getting critiques from professional designers."
Miranda Martinez ('27)
Fashion Design Club President

Sustainability Club
“The Sustainability Club’s focus is showing peers how easy it is to adopt sustainable practices in their everyday lives. We’ve hosted clothing swaps, provided composting bins, and even taught students how to easily mend clothing so they last longer. Where better to start inspiring positive change in the fashion industry than within our community!”
Savannah Foley ('21 / MPS '25)
Sustainability Club Advisor
