The Business of Fashion Program Overview

The MPS in The Business of Fashion program at LIM College's Marcuse School of Graduate Studies prepares graduates to leverage their enhanced skill set to advance in their current role, embark on a new career trajectory, or launch an entrepreneurial endeavor. This 30-credit program can be completed in one year.

Curriculum & Careers

Students who meet one of the following criteria are eligible to apply for The Business of Fashion MPS degree program:

  • Hold an undergraduate degree in a fashion-related field plus two years of postgraduate corporate fashion industry experience
  • Hold an undergraduate degree in a non-fashion-related field plus five years of postgraduate corporate fashion industry experience

The Business of Fashion curriculum allows you to create your own learning experience that aligns with your professional goals, choosing coursework from a variety of business areas, such as merchandising, marketing, supply chain, and consumer analytics. 

Among the course offerings are:

  • Fashion Marketing Management
  • Logistics Management
  • Marketing Metrics
  • Strategic Digital Communications in the Fashion Industry
  • Sustainable Sourcing

You can also opt to complete LIM’s graduate Career Success Track, which consists of three required internship or career seminar courses.

Gain real-world, resume-building experience and make industry connections by completing an internship as part of your master’s program.

You can also opt to complete the Career Success Track*, which consists of three required internship courses across consecutive semesters that provide you with real-world skills, knowledge, and experience to help attain your career goals.
