Stay vigilant for signs of stress this spring.
Life is stressful for today’s college students. Balancing academics, work, internships, family, social life, and finances, along with complex social, political, and economic pressures of the world we live in, all amid the transition into adulthood can be challenging.
In my work with students at LIM College, I have noted that social anxiety is extremely high among students today. This is not surprising given the impact of the pandemic, which had students sequestered at home with few in-person interactions. Social media has also contributed, making digital connections with others the rule and in-person connections rare.
New York City is known for its vibrant atmosphere, iconic landmarks, and bustling streets. And during the warmer months, the city is extra abuzz with exciting activities and events, many of which are inexpensive or completely free! Here, we'll highlight ten free things to do in the city, ranging from movie nights and concerts to beachside escapes and blissful walks in the park.
Students, organizations, and alumni honored for commitment and achievement.

Unfortunately, last year's Fashion Show was canceled due to COVID-19. This annual Accepted Students Day (ASD) event allows admitted students to get a sense of the innovative, inspiring atmosphere that LIM College offers. As a “COVID Freshman” at LIM, I did not get to experience the fashion show on 2020’s ASD. Despite all the challenges we were presented with, I could not be more excited to watch the virtual show this year!
