Of course you have questions about transferring. Luckily, we have some answers. 

LIM College is proud to have a very generous credit transfer policy. 

You should start by reviewing our Transfer Credit Guidelines and see if your community college is an LIM articulation agreement partner. 

If you apply to LIM, you will receive a minimum of 2 custom transfer credit evaluations during the application-to- enrollment process, as well as the option to participate in a graduation planning appointment with an Academic Advisor.

Depending on which major you plan to declare with LIM, the courses recommended can vary.

For example, if you are interested in our BBA in Fashion Merchandising Curriculum you could view that program's catalog listing on our website to get an idea of the courses to take at your current school.
General recommendations for courses include:

    • English Composition I
    • English Composition II
    • Principles of Marketing
    • Public Speaking
    • College Algebra
    • Statistics
    • Macroeconomics
    • Financial Accounting
    • Principles of Management
    • Business Law

All transfer credits are not guaranteed for consideration toward a degree program at LIM College until the final transfer credit evaluation has been released at the enrollment stage.

  • Internships – At least three before you graduate!
  • Housing is offered to all levels of students (not just freshmen) through Educational Housing Services (EHS) at FOUND Study

On-campus jobs are great for balancing your work/study schedule. Some offices that offer positions include: Admissions, the Library, Academic Affairs, and more.

Yes. Undergraduate students can take online, on-campus or hybrid courses. Hybrid courses include both online and on-campus components.

If you have completed less than 30 semester credits at a college level, we encourage you to submit your full official high school transcript for review.

If you have completed more than 30 college-level credits, we just need proof of your graduation date in the form of your original diploma (copy made in-house by Admissions staff) or an official transcript with the date the degree was conferred listed.

Approximately 40% of our undergrad student body transfers in from other schools. In fact, LIM was even named to Phi Theta Kappa’s Transfer Honor Roll, which identifies the top four-year colleges and universities for creating dynamic pathways to support community college transfer.

Yes. You must submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities you attended regardless of whether or not you intend to receive credit for previous coursework.
